RAJOURI, Apr 20: A middle aged person was killed while his wife and son were injured in a road accident in Sunderbani area of district Rajouri this evening.
A police spokesman said that a car (Maruti), bearing registration number JK11E- 6989, driven by unknown driver was on way to Nowshera from Sunderbani. The rashly driven vehicle when reached Siot at about 6:30 pm, it collided with a scooty bearing registration number JK11E -5589.
The scooty was being driven by one Rakesh Kumar (45), son of Om Prakash, resident of Chak Jaralan, Bagnoti in Tehsil Nowshera. His wife Sunita Devi and son, Swastik (10) were also traveling on the scooty with him. While scooty driver Rakesh died on the spot, both the pillion riders were injured. They were shifted to SDH Sunderbani for treatment.
The police have registered a case FIR Number 41/2024 U/S 279/337/304 &A IPC. SHO Dharamsal Inspector Vishal Kumar reached the spot and shifted injured and dead to SDH Sunderbani. After conducting postmortem the dead body was handed over to the family.
