JAMMU, Jan 10: A man suffered grievous injuries this evening due to electrocution in Chatha area of city outskirts.
“The victim was identified as Ghulam Hussain (40) son of Raj Ali, resident of Barjala (Satwari),” police sources said. They said the victim was walking towards his home while carrying something on his shoulder which came in contact with a live wire of an electric pole.
They said with grievous burn injuries, the man was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical till the last reports came in. Satwari police had taken cognizance of the matter, sources added.
