KATRA, Aug 19: A middle aged man committed suicide by jumping into a Nallah at Meyari, here this morning.
The deceased was identified as Om Parkash alias Bittu (58), son of Tirth Ram of Kandhar, Treen, Meyari, tehsil Katra. He suddenly jumped into the Nallah around 9:30 AM.
On being informed by some locals, Katra Police rushed to the spot and launched searches. Later on in the evening, his dead body was recovered from some distance.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
