UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: A young man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in village Ritti, here.
According to Police, 35-year-old Sushil Kumar, son of Bodhraj of village Ritti, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence last night. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu Hospital. Despite hectic efforts by the doctors, he did not respond to the treatment and died this evening.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
