JAMMU, Jan 4: The dead body of an unidentified man was recovered today from a road in Gangyal area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the dead body of an unknown male age about 45 years was spotted on a road in Gangyal area of city outskirts by some passersby early this morning.
They informed the police who reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. Later, the deceased man was identified as Suresh Kumar son of Machhru Ram,a resident of Nudd. After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over t his legal heirs for last rites.
Quoting the family members of the deceased, the spokesperson said that the deceased man had left his home yesterday for his in-laws’ residence in Sarore area on foot, adding he was a patient of epilepsy and perhaps he died of that.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
