UDHAMPUR, June 22: A middle aged man was found dead at Salmy Bridge near Power House Udhampur, here today.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Kartar Chand (50), son of Kesar Chand, resident of Vishal Jatta, Kawa. He was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the Salmy Bridge.
The body was spotted by some locals, who immediately informed the police. SHO Udhampur Raghuvir Singh along with his team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem .
Cause of death could not be immediately ascertained while family members of the deceased have appealed to to District Administration and Police for a fair investigation in this case.
Udhampur Police have registered the case under 174 CrPC and started further investigation.
