Man found dead at drug de-addiction centre, family alleges murder

UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: Mystery shrouded death of a young man who was admitted in a drug de-addiction Centre at Chopra Shop Udhampur for the last six month.
The deceased was identified as Ravi Kumar (36), son of Hans Raj, resident of Nagrota, Jammu. He was found lying unconscious in the drug de-addiction centre, this morning and brought to the District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
However, family members of the deceased alleged that it was a murder and they protested in front of DH Udhampur.
According to SSP Udhampur, Dr Vinod Kumar, PME conducted through Board of doctors at District Hospital Udhampur shall follow investigation after due course of time.
Later, the police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead body to family members and registered a case for Inquest proceedings t police Station Rehambal.
