JAMMU, Mar 23: In a mysterious condition, a 30-year-old man was today found dead at village Jora Farm in RS Pura.
According to SP Headquarters Jammu, Randeep Singh, the deceased identified as Fayaz Ali son of Hassan Mir, a resident RS Pura was apparently murdered by some people.
He said the deceased was beaten to death by four employees of Jora Farm this morning when the former’s cattle barged into Jora Farm. The deceased bore several head injuries, he added.
He said on a complaint received by deceased’s family members, a case of murder has been registered and investigations are underway. We have also detained two of the accused for questioning, he added.
After conducting the post-mortem at a Government Hospital, RS Pura, the body was handed over to the family for last rites,” he said.
Meanwhile, village residents and the deceased’s family members took to streets and protested against the administration demanding immediate arrest of the accused. The senior police officers including SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand reached the spot and pacified the protesting people by assuring early arrest of the accused.
