JAMMU, July 27: A man from Uttar Pradesh was today found dead in a water tank in Sainik Colony area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Chandu (42) son of Sham Narayan, resident of UP and at present living at Santra Morh, Talab Tillo, Jammu. He said the dead body of the man was spotted this afternoon floating in the water tank at Sunny Farms, Sainik Colony, where he was presently employed.
“The man fell into the water tank accidentally or committed suicide, is a matter of investigation,” the official said, adding after completion of all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceedings in this connection was initiated by police post Sainik Colony.
