POONCH, Nov 23: The dead body of an old age person was found today under mysterious circumstances near a river at Chandak area.
On receiving information, a team of Police Station Poonch reached the spot and shifted the body to District Hospital Poonch where after doing all medico-legal formalities, it was handed over to its family for last rites.
The deceased was identified as Khadam Hussain (65) son of Lal Din, resident of Chandak area of Poonch. The family members of the deceased approached the Police Station Poonch and on their complaint, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC were initiated in the case.
