UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: A man was found hanging with a tree in forest area of village Nimbla in Ramnagar, here in Udhampur district.
The deceased was identified as Shanker Dass (45) son of Billa of village Kayala Ramnagar. The hanging body was spotted by some locals who informed the police in this regard. Police shifted the body to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar for postmortem and registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a six-year old child got critically injured when he was hit by a motorcycle in Ramnagar today. The child was immediately shifted to Ramnagar hospital where doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur in view of the critical injuries.
Identity of the child was established as Varun Dev Singh, son of Pushvinder Singh of Ramnagar.
