JAMMU, July 11: A 61-year-old man was found hanging at his residence here at Sainik Colony area of Jammu today, police said.
They said Narinder Singh (61) son of Gandharv Singh of Sainik Colony Jammu was spotted hanging at his residence under mysterious circumstances.
He was shifted to Government Medical College Jammu where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, police said.
While the post-mortem of the deceased has been conducted inquest proceedings have been launched to ascertain the reasons as to why the youth took such an extreme step to end his life.
