JAMMU, Feb 6: A man was found hanging with a fan at his residence in Pounichak area, late last night.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as Sumit (35) son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Om Nagar, Udeywala, Jammu. He was found hanging in his room late last night. In unconscious condition, one of his neighbours shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Today after completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. In this connection, inquest proceedings under 174 Cr PC were initiated at concerned police station.
