UDHAMPUR, Oct 20: In an apparent case of suicide, a man was found hanging from a tree in a forest area at Cheani Panchayat in Majalta, here today.
According to the police, Rakesh Kumar, son of Chuni Lal, resident of Kogar Marh, tehsil Ramnagar, at present Thalora Manwal, was hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances.
The hanging body was spotted by some locals. On being informed, Majalta police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to PHC Majalta for postmortem and other legal formalities.
A case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
