UDHAMPUR, Oct 12: In an apparent case of suicide, a man was found hanging from a tree near his house at Payala in Tehsil Ramnagar, here today.
According to the Police, Jeet Kumar (45), son of Sarbu Ram, resident of Payala, Tehsil Ramnagar, was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances.
Locals spotted the hanging body and immediately brought the matter into the notice of Police following which, SHO Ramnagar, Inspector Sohan Singh rushed to the spot and shifted the body to SDH Ramnagar for postmortem and other legal formalities.
Ramnagar Police have registered a case in this connection under Section 174 CrPC and started further investigation.
