JAMMU, May 21: A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Shakti Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, 35-year-old Ravi Kant, son of Bansi Lal of Shakti Nagar ended his life by hanging himself at his residence this evening.
Finding him hanging, family members informed the police and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The body has been kept in the mortuary of GMC Hospital for postmortem, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
