JAMMU, Dec 15: Sarwal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a man and recovered large quantity of banned syrup bottles.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Sarwal police post laid a naka and intercepted a Santro car bearing registration number JK02L-6933.
During checking, police recovered 58 bottles of banned syrup from the car and arrested the driver on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar alias Shunna, son of Bal Krishna, a resident of Rehari Colony.
A case under FIR Number 190/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been lodged at Bakshi Nagar police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Sarwal police post SI Kali Charan made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Kumar, SDPO West Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
