RAMBAN, Nov 18: Police arrested a person and recovered 800 grams of charas from his possession.
As per police sources, police team from Ramban police station laid a naka and intercepted a person under suspicious circumstances at Kanthi.
During checking, police recovered 800 grams of charas and arrested the narcotic smuggler, who has been identified as Rakesh Singh, son of Jai Singh, a resident of Kanthi, district Ramban.
A case under FIR number 157/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Inspector Ajay Chib made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Javed Iqbal Mattoo.
