RAMBAN, Dec 16: Police arrested a man along with 400 grams of charas from Maitra area here today.
As per police sources, police team from Ramban police station led by Inspector Ajay Chib intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds near Maitra.
During checking, police recovered 400 grams charas and arrested the accused, who has been identified as Abdul Majid, son of Din Mohammad, a resident of Maitra.
A case under FIR number 166/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
