Man held with fake currency

JAMMU, May 21: Police arrested a man along with fake currency notes from Bahu Plaza area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bahu Fort police station.
As per police sources, a team from Bahu Fort police station laid a naka at Bahu Plaza and intercepted a pedestrian, who was trying to hide himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 4 fake notes of 100 USA dollars from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Sahir Sharief, son of Mohammad Sharief, a resident of Bhaderwah.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against the accused at Bahu Fort police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
