SAMBA, May 5: Ghagwal police along with sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) arrested a man along with 804 intoxicant capsules.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ghagwal police station along with the sleuths of DSB laid a naka at Tapyal and intercepted a person, who was hiding himself after deboarding a Delhi bound bus.
During checking, police recovered 804 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Chander Shakher, son of Ram Krishan, a resident of District Kathua.
A case under FIR Number 52/17 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Ghagwal police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Ghagwal SI Rajeshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
