Srinagar, Apr 22: Police has arrested a man who allegedly tried to rape a six-year old girl here.
A police spokesman said a person (name withheld) reported in Police Post Noorbagh and stated that one Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat attempted to rape his six-year old daughter.
“A case FIR number 70/2017 under Section 376, 511 RPC was registered and investigation was taken up. The police has succeeded in arresting the accused with in hours. Further investigation is going on,” he added.
