RAJOURI, Apr 15: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse the District Police Rajouri nabbed a man with banned drugs in Rajouri town today.
The accused has been identified as Nishad Ahmed, son of Mohammad Said, a resident of Kakora village of Manjakote. The drug- peddler was intercepted on ITI road in the town by an alert team of Police Station Rajouri under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Insp Mohd Showket. During his frisking 88 banned Tramadol Capsules and 190 banned Alprazolam Tablets have been recovered after which the said accused has been arrested.
The Police said that action against people involved in drugs and narcotics peddling has been prioritised and stringent action against drug peddlers shall be continued vigorously.
