JAMMU, June 26: RS Pura police arrested a man and recovered illicit liquor pouches from his possession at Chak Aslam Road.
As per police sources, police team from RS Pura police station laid a naka at Chak Aslam Road and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 30 pouches of illicit liquor and nabbed the bootlegger on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Vikram Jeet Singh, son of Bachan Lal of Jinder Melu.
The bootlegger was carrying the liquor pouches to earn illegitimate profit by selling it among the general public of his area.
A case under FIR Number 98/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura police station Inspector Chandan Kohli made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
