Ramban, July 24: Ramsoo police arrested a man along with 50 pouches of illicit liquor from Makarkot area.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Ramsoo police station arrested a man along with 50 pouches of illicit liquor from Makarkot area.
The accused has been identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Aslam of Goond Tethar, Banihal at Makarkot.
The bootlegger was carrying the liquor pouches for sale in his native village for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 49/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against him at police station Ramsoo and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramsoo police station Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
