KATHUA, Mar 28: Police today claimed that they have arrested a bootlegger from Basohli area and recovered from his possession 14 bottles of illicit liquor.
A police spokesperson said that Kuldeep Raj of Jahankher area was arrested from Bus Stand Basohli along with 14 bottles of JK Special Whisky (750 ml each) by a team of Police Station Basohli led by SHO concerned, Inspector Jaswinder Singh, under the overall supervision of SDPO Basohli, Aakash Kohli.
“The accused has been booked in case FIR number 18/2023 under section 48(a) of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Basohli and further investigation started,” he further said.
