JAMMU, Nov 3: A man was arrested along with 47 pouches of illicit liquor from Mishriwala area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kana Chack police station.
As per police sources, police team from Kana Chack police station intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds near Mishriwala.
During checking, police recovered 47 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Ram Ditta, son of Biru Ram, a resident of Halka.
A case FIR No. 147/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kana Chack police station and investigations started.
Police team led by SHO Kana Chack Rakesh Singh Jamwal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
