JAMMU, Jan 16: Talab Tillo police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Talab Tillo police post laid a naka near Toph Sherkhania and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK02BL-8288 going towards Akhnoor from Jammu.
During checking, police recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Harvinder Singh, son of Jaspal Singh, a resident of Marh Bagh.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Talab Tillo police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Talab Tillo police post SI Rahul Mahajan made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nowabad police station Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal, SDPO West Sandeep Choudhary, SP City Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
