BHADERWAH, Feb 19: Police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhaderwah police station intercepted a person as he was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 38 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Naresh Kumar alias Thissu, son of Amar Chand of Bheja.
He was carrying the illicit liquor to his village for sale among the people for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 17/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah police station Inspector Jatinder Sambyal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhadarwah Sajjad Khan and SSP Doda Zahid Manhas.
