Man injured in bear attack

POONCH, June 6: A villager was seriously injured in a bear attack at Tarkanna hemlet of Mandi in Poonch district, while it took 9 hours to shift the injured to SDH Mandi.
Family members of injured person said that bear initially attacked goats, when he tried to save them, bear attacked and left him injured as well. It took hours on foot to take him to road from where he was shifted to SDH Mandi in a vehicle.
Injured person was identified as Abdul Aziz, son of Haji Abdul Rehman, resident of Seri Khwaja.
Doctor said that he was having serious injuries and was shifted to District Hospital Poonch for advance treatment, though his condition was stable.
