RAMBAN, May 20: Dharmkund police arrested a man involved in sacrilegious act case.
As per police sources, an information was received by Police Station Dharmkund through reliable sources that a person namely Gulzar Ahmed, son of Mohammad Abdullah of Dewli Sumber District Ramban has slaughtered a calf. This act of accused has hurt the sentiments of one particular community.
Immediately, after receiving the information, a case under FIR Number 10/2020 under sections 295-A and 153-A IPC got registered at Police Station Dharmkund and the accused involved was arrested.
Further investigation into the incident is in progress.
SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur-Rehman said that that any body who tries to disturb the communal fabric of Ramban shall not be spared.
It is pertinent to mention here that few days back a post was being circulated in social media hurting sentiments of one particular community. Immediate suo moto action was taken by the police under the same sections of law and the accused was arrested as well.
“People of Ramban are requested not to pay heed to rumors, trust Police and administration and maintain the communal harmony”, SSP asserted.
