RAMBAN, Sept 19: A 32-year-old man jumped into Chenab River here today.
Mohammad Amin son of Gul Mohammad of Chaknarwa, Chamalwas, Banihal, jumped into the river at Khowbagh area of Ramban this afternoon.
After receiving information, J&K Police accompanied by SDRF and local volunteers started a search operation along the banks of Chenab River to trace the missing person but without any success till the press time.
SHO Ramban Nayeem Matto confirmed the incident claiming, “till late evening, the rescue teams were unable to locate the missing person.”
