JAMMU, Jan 30: A middle-aged man today made an abortive attempt on his life by hanging himself at his residence in Pratapgarh area falling under the limits of City police Station, a police spokesperson said.
He said the man has been identified as Suresh Kumar (45) son of Kaka Ram, a resident of H No -19, Pratapgarh. The family members immediately rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
The concerned police said that they had taken cognizance of the matter but as the victim was still unfit for giving any statement, they could not say anything why he took this extreme step.
