JAMMU, Mar 16: A man was murdered in the jurisdiction of Bathandi Police Post. However, acting swiftly, police arrested two accused involved in the case within 8 hours.
As per police sources, today a person namely Bahar Din, son of Habib Choupan of Deol District Reasi, at present Chatta reported at Police Post Bathindi that his nephew namely Bashir Ahmed, son of Ahmed Din of Deol Tehsil Mahore District Reasi has been murdered near Barmini Sunjwan by two persons identified as Abdul Majid, son of Abdul Satar and Aijaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Din Sheikh, both residents of District Reasi.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 92/2020 under section 302 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and hunt was launched to nab the murderers.
Acting swiftly and after hectic efforts, a team from Bhatindi Police Post arrested the accused from Bus Stand Jammu, who during sustained interrogation confessed their involvement in the murder.
It is worthwhile to mention here that due to swift and prompt action of Jammu Police, the murderers were arrested within 8 hours of the incident.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Bathindi SI Kamal Preet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO East Bikram Kumar, SP South Vinay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
