Man murdered over land dispute

RAMBAN, Oct 21: A man was murdered over land dispute in village Sana, falling under the jurisdiction of Batote police station.
As per police sources, a man identified as Mohammad Shafi (55), son of Shukar Din, a resident of village Sana got seriously injured after four persons including three brothers attacked him with sticks at village Sana over some land dispute.
The attackers have been identified as Nagina Begum, wife of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of village Sana and her three sons namely Sajad Hussain, Arif Hussain and Tanveer Hussain.
The profusely bleeding injured was rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Batote and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completing medical and legal formalities.
A case under FIR Number 102/15 has been registered against the accused at police station Batote and manhunt was launched to nab them.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled.
