POONCH, Sept 28: A person was captured by locals while attempting theft and handed over to Police at Surankote main town in Poonch.
Official sources said that an old age man came out of J&K Bank Surankote after withdrawing 50,000 rupees, when he tried to take away his bag.
“Old age person told people around, after which person attempting theft was captured and handed over to Police by them”, They said.
He was identified as Syed Bider Ali son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Baramulla Kashmir, who was selling carpets and living on rent in Surankote.
Senior Police Officer in Surankote, when contacted said that a case under relevent sections of law has been registered in Police Station Surankote and investigation was taken up.
