JAMMU, Jan 24: Digiana police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ nabbed a man and recovered seven grams heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Digiana police post laid a naka near Preet Nagar and intercepted a scooty.
During checking, police recovered 7 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Amarjit Singh, son of Charanjit Singh, a resident of Model Town, Gangyal.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of this consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Digiana police post SI Pawan Dogra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
