Man nabbed with illicit liquor pouches

JAMMU, Dec 22: Police nabbed a man and recovered illicit liquor pouches from his possession at Chinar Mohallah, falling under the jurisdiction of Bhaderwah police station.
As per police sources, a team from Bhaderwah police station while patrolling at Chinar Mohalla, University Campus Road intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK06- 7804.
During checking, police recovered 38 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Ravinder Singh, son of Dev Raj Kattal, a resident of Garh Sungli, Bhaderwah.
The accused was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
A team from police station Bhaderwah led by SI Purab Singh made the arrest under ths supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Singh Sambyal, SDPO Bhaderwah Sajjad Ahmed Khan, Additional SP Bhaderwah Sargun Shukla and SSP Doda Zahid Nasim Manhas.
