RAJOURI, May 22: The Police arrested a drug-peddler in Kalakote area of Rajouri district with a consignment of narcotics.
A police spokesman said that a drug peddler namely, Israr Talib, son of Talib Hussain, resident of Ward No. 6, Thuddi Chaprian in Rajouri town was intercepted during a naka at Kharak in Kalakote by a police party.
The police team headed by SHO Kalakote Danish Maqbool Dar was on routine naka duty when this man was stopped for frisking and three grams of heroine was recovered from his possession. The police further informed that after registration of case under relevant sections of law in respective police station, investigation is going on to unearth the forward and backward linkages of arrested person.
