RAJOURI, Aug 22: One person driving a vehicle was arrested by police along with a consignment of poppy straw in Kotranka area of Rajouri district today.
Police said that during naka checking at Thana Gali, near Petrol Pump, Kotranka, a vehicle bearing registration number JK03B- 2670 driven by one Mohd Younis, son of Shamus Din, resident of Dhar Sakri was intercepted.
During checking nearly 1 kg of poppy straw was recovered from his possession. The police seized the consignment and arrested accused person.
A police team headed by SHO Kandi made the arrest and recovery. A case was registered in this regard and further investigation launched.
