Man of the moment

Sir,
Perceiving the sense of Narendra Modi’s initial campaigning for his party, prior to the general election, about three years ago, the people in general felt intuitively that here was a man who could pull the ailing country out of the morass of depondency and despair.
William Wordsworth an English poet of England, disgusted with the disastrous effects of materialism in his country, such as dwindling religious faith and ethical values, invoked Milton, a moralist poet of an earlier period, to come and stem the rot.In pain he cried; ”Milton! England hath need of thee”. Much in the same vein the people of India, overcome by helplessness and despair, seemed to cry : Modi! India has need of thee! Their faith triumphed when later Modi, as the Prime Minister, announced his policy of development for all. The measures he adopted in right earnest, which appeared painfully harmful on the surface, were welcomed by the people in general.
The recent unprecedentedly gigantic landslide victory of Modi’s party in Uttar Pradesh which presents a picture of mini India, has undoubtedly vindicated the faith of the countrymen in the sincere leadership of Prime Minister. Modi is an extraordinary human being, having been sent down on the Indian soil, so it appears, from some celestial sphere, with a mission to put back on the rails the politically moth eaten and rudderless ship of India, sans direction, sans purpose and sans commitment. He is here to pave the right path for the wrong people, the path of righteousness for the misguided and ruthlessly unruly sections of the soceity. All that is being done for the renaissance of the old good values and clean socio-political environment appears to be in consonance with the general faith that when unrighteousness assumes disastrous proportions, there is divine intervention to bring order out of chaos.
The astounding victory of the Modi-led BJP party has come down on the opposition parties as an avalanche of grief, and they are pitiably now crying in pain.
With the exception of the political parties which have lost power and pelf, as also those who have amassed enormous amount of wealth with the blessings of politicans, the entire Indian nation has hailed Narendra Modi as the saviour of the masses.
Yours etc….
