RAMBAN, Mar 22: A man accused of creating public nuisance under the influence of liquor, was sentenced to community service under the provisions of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) by the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class (JMIC), Ukhral today.
The accused was identified as Arvind Singh, son of Devan Chand, resident of Ahma Dhanmasta, Tehsil Pogal Paristan and he was found creating public disturbance in inebriated condition in Ukhral Market area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramsoo.
He was presented before the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class (JMIC) Ukhral, Manzar Muneer on Saturday who directed the accused to perform community service at the nearest hospital for three hour daily for three days under Section 355 of BNS.
To ensure compliance, the Court directed Incharge Police Post Ukhral to monitor the community service and submit a detailed report along with photographic evidence under the supervision of BDO, Primary Healthcare, Ukhral.
