Srinagar, Dec 1 : A 24 year old man was critically injured after militants fired upon him in Buchpora area of Srinagar this evening.
Militants fired upon a man identified as Nadif Khan son of Muhammad Hanief Khan, resident of Bilal Colony Soura in Buchpora, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately rushed to SKIMS for treatment.
Security forces reached the spot and searches were launched in the area against the militants responsible for the attack.
Militants lobbed a grenade towards 179 Battalion CRPF Sopore area of Baramulla district this evening. The grenade exploded outside the main gate. No injury or loss to life or property was reported.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Model Town (B) area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district this evening.
A joint team of Army 22 RR and J&K Police cordoned off Model Town B area of Sopore and conducted house to house searches in the area.
The search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
