POONCH, Mar 30: A Village Defence Committee member shot dead his nephew following arguments over some property dispute at their house in village Dera Dullian, here late last night.
Reports said that 32-year old Gagandeep Singh was shot dead by his uncle Joginder Singh, an ex-serviceman and presently a member of VDC.
Both of them had arguments over some property dispute at their house and in a fit of rage Joginder Singh opened fire on his nephew from his licensed rifle, killing the later on the spot.
The incident took place around 11.15 pm and on getting information, a Police team from Police Post Challas reached the spot this morning. Police arrested the accused and registered a case in this connection.
