Srinagar, Dec 11: A man was shot and injured in Bonikhan village of Hajin area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district late last night.
The injured person was identified as Mohammad Iqbal Wani, a resident of Bonikhan village of Hajin. A police official said the injured Iqbal is a driver by profession and he was shot last night at 10 pm.
“He has received a bullet injury in his thigh. He was taken to SKIMS Srinagar for treatment from where he was discharged today morning,” the official said.
Police said they have registered a case under FIR number 74/2016 under Section 7/27 Indian Arms Act and 307 RPC and investigation in the case has been set in motion.
