JAMMU, May 22: A man was allegedly stabbed this afternoon by some unknown persons at Indra Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Miran Sahib.
According to a police spokesperson, the victim has been identified as Balwinder Singh alias Bindu Punjabi, son of Shamsher Singh, a resident of Dinanagar in Punjab (at present Talab Tillo, Jammu).
He said the victim with injuries on his hands and legs, was found lying unconscious in bushes behind petrol pump at Indira Nagar. He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable.
“However, he is not still fit for giving any statement”, he said, adding a case in this connection has been registered and further investigations are underway.
