SRINAGAR, May 18: A man was stabbed to death in Kachan area of district Ganderbal today.
According to officials, the incident took place around 3:30 PM when Fayaz Ahmad Dar (32), son of Ghulam Hassan Dar, was at his shop. He was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon.
“He was stabbed right in his chest, causing serious injuries. He was immediately referred for further treatment,” officials said.
Given the severity of the wound, he was shifted to SKIMS for specialized treatment; however, he died on the way.
While the attacker managed to flee the scene, the police have started an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased man has been handed over to the family after completing the medico-legal formalities.
