JAMMU, Mar 31: Police in Nowabad area today claimed to have arrested an individual, who was wanted in an attempt to murder case.
Dheeraj Kumar alias Laddi of Ward 2, RS Pura, Jammu was wanted in connection with an attempt to murder case registered at Police Station Nowabad on March 19, 2024, a police official said.
According to him, on March 18-19, the accused, along with another individual, forcibly entered a hotel premises in Sant Market, Jewel area, and attacked one Sanjay Kumar alias Kaalu with sharp weapons, inflicting severe injuries on the latter’s head, arms and legs before fleeing the scene.
“He was hiding since then. But following a specific lead today, he was arrested by a team headed by SHO Nowabad, Inspector Deepak Pathania,” the police official said, adding that he will now be presented before the court of law for deciding the future course of action.
