UDHAMPUR, Oct 13: Due to heavy rainfall and flash floods, one person was washed away while two young sisters got injured in a wall collapse.
Reports said that one Gopal Singh, son of Dhani Ram of Pakhlai Udhampur was washed away due to flash flood in Ladan Power House Canal yesterday.
Body of the deceased was recovered today around two kilometers from the spot of his drowning. Police shifted the body to hospital and then handed it over to the family members after postmortem.
Meanwhile, two young sisters were injured when a wall collapsed due to heavy rainfall in village Kaghote of Ramnagar tehsil, here last night.
The injured were identified as Arti Davi (16) and Annu Davi (18), daughters of Bodh Raj of Pateyri. The family members took them to District Hospital Udhampur where the duo was referred to GMC Jammu.
