A handout stated that Vinod Kumar Sharma was elected as president; Bharat Bhushan, general secretary; Panch Kewal Krishna and Subhash Chandra—store keepers; Anil Kumar Sharma, accounts and media secretary; Ajit Kumar Sharma, cashier; Balraj Khajuria and Kaushal Sharma—auditors and Mukesh Raina, media secretary. Executive members elected on this occasion were Kundan Pahalwan, Anil Kumar Sharma, Ram Prasad Sharma, Kewal Krishna Sharma and Sat Pal Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion the newly elected chairman said that temples face numerous challenges that hinder their proper functioning and upkeep.
“These challenges include poor management, difficulties in adapting to changing times and societal expectations,” Kundan Lal said adding: “Temples require a significant amount of money to maintain their infrastructure, pay salary to Pujari and organize various religious events.”
“Most temples rely on donations from devotees and the amount collected is often insufficient to meet the expenses,” he continued assuring that all requisite steps will be taken to ensure proper management of temple.
